I have searched for months for an eyebrow tattooist as I have been painting my nearly non-existant brows for years and years.. all the services I found were not to my standard until I came across Barbara's business page. I was so impressed with her gallery photos I booked in for a consultation straight away. Her dedication and perfectionism is outstanding, she will not rest until her work is up to standard and if you're not happy with something, she will go that extra mile to correct it. Her friendly and helpful disposition has made my appointments with her very pleasant and I am SO happy with what she has done for my brows, I cannot thank her enough! I will be back soon for a re-touch. I would recommend Barbara to ANYONE who wants cosmetic tattooing, you will not be disappointed ~ Roni N

I found Barbara by searching through endless adds on line and reading all the information I could find. I decided that Barbara sounded as though she knew what she was talking about and so with some trepidation I made the call to book a consult. I should add that I am no novice having had previous experiences with both having my brows and eyelids done twice before over the years and not always with a successful outcome. I am extremely happy to report that Barbara well and truly exceeded my expectations with a superb job on both my brows and upper and lower liner. Her lovely manner, attention to detail and stylish salon make you feel safe undergoing such a process. I recommend her to all my friends who are considering having this treatment. ~ Jillian S

I had my eyebrows tattooed in 2022 and just recently returned to see Barbara to have them filled in a bit and one lengthened very slightly (face keeps changing shape of course with age). If you haven’t been to Smudgeproof and met Barbara she has a beautiful studio and is a very welcoming and an extremely knowledgeable person in her field. You will feel comfortable and assured going ahead after a thorough chat about what you would like whilst she sketches an example on your brow or lips etc. Barbara uses different techniques and is quite simply an ‘artist’. I never felt pressured at all and the initial cost includes touch up treatment a few weeks after the first session as well as aftercare antiseptic cream. If you are contemplating permanent make-up or just enhancing something, you have found the right place. You will feel great ! Highly Recommended. ~ Steph J

I choose Smudgeproof based on the ratings and reviews on here, and I was not disappointed! Barbara is all the things people mention; friendly, professional, a perfectionist and as patient as a saint! I had both eyeliner and lips coloured and I am stoked with the natural result she achieved (which is what I wanted.) Her attention to detail is second to none. 6 years ago I had the same done at a place in St Kilda and wasn’t nearly as happy with the result (or the extra $ I was charged). This won’t happen at Smudgeproof as Barbara is professional, seeks to understand exactly what you want and is upfront with what to expect. A great experience all round! ~ Alison B

I had Barbara tattoo my eyebrows, what an amazing artist she is, the outcome was absolutely perfect and they look so natural! I recieve so many lovely compliments about my eyebrows all the time. The price is extremely affordable for the amount of work that goes into have them tattooed. Barbara made me feel so comfortable and made sure I was okay at all times, but it wasn't even painful, more like a relaxation sort of experience. Barb is absolutely fantastic! She’s a true professional — warm, detail-oriented, and so easy to work with.
